The Anthony Leanna Story

Ever since he could walk and talk, Anthony Leanna was very active, caring, and curious!

He was always asking questions and inventing things.

He loved his entire family very much, but he especially liked spending time with his grandparents.

Anthony loved fishing with his grandpa and playing games with both of them.

He was only eight years old when his grandmother got very sick with cancer, and Anthony took it really hard.

He stayed by her side at the hospital as much as he possibly could.

Because of the medicine she had to take, she started losing her hair.

Anthony began seeing a lot of other people at the hospital without hair, too.

As he learned more and more about these people, some of them children themselves, Anthony wanted to think of ideas that could help them.

It wasn’t long before he started something called “Heavenly Hats,” to provide brand new hats for the patients to wear until their hair could grow back.

He encouraged a lot of people to buy brand new hats and then give them to Heavenly Hats, which in turn would give them to patients who had lost their hair.

Anthony is seventeen years old now.

He is the captain of his high school football team.

He also plays the guitar, and he is still on the board of directors of Heavenly Hats, the organization he started when he was in the fourth grade.

Today, Heavenly Hats has provided over 300,000 brand new hats for cancer patients all over the United States.

Yes, Anthony Leanna has done something few people have done before.

He became famous by starting to help a LOT of people when he was just a small boy.

He became, and continues to be… a hero.
