The Benjamin Franklin Story

It was Benjamin Franklin who coined the phrase, “A stitch in time saves nine!” Of course, he was speaking of preventive maintenance.

Whether it’s your car, your school work, responsibilities on the job, your health, or your relationships with other people, a maintenance “program” is essential.

Consider for a moment if physical, social, and mechanical failures were virtually eliminated. Granted, mechanical and material things around us do wear out and deteriorate. Even our own bodies do. But think about the progress we all could make if we didn’t have to spend time fixing and replacing things—if we could always use our time in positive accomplishment!

Maintaining your possessions, your finances, and your relationships will let you keep and profitably use your time that otherwise would be robbed from you. Dealing with problems when they are small, before they grow out of hand, will leave you in control!
