The “Captain Sully” Story

Any pilot can tell you the most crucial time of flight for an airplane is during takeoff. A lot is happening on the flight deck. One very important aspect of the takeoff procedure occurs about two-thirds of the way into the ground roll. As speed increases and available runway decreases, there comes a point when the pilot must consciously commit to the takeoff.

Well, just as pilots make these crucial commitments, there comes a time in our lives when we must commit to education and to a career—that is if we want to be successful.

I’ve talked with many adults who made these commitments early in life. They are every one glad they did. I’ve also talked with those who waited until later to settle down and become responsible. They’ve all had regrets. So, what about you? You know, right now is the best time to begin avoiding tomorrow’s regrets.
