The Barbara Jordan Story

Many young people today have difficulty fully understanding the transition from formal education to life in the real world. Principles about earning a living have to be learned. They don’t always come naturally. And when it comes to learning, there seems to be basically three categories of people. First, there are those who don’t know much of anything and just plain don’t care. There is not a lot you can do to help them.

Then you have the people who are convinced they know everything. Perhaps they will profit from the knowledge and experience already gained, but they will never really grow because they don’t see the need to learn more.

The final category is made up of people who are smart enough to realize there is a great big world out there, and that there is always more for us to learn in order to properly and successfully function in it. It’s by far the most productive category.
