The Reba McEntire Story

The story goes that an ancient king was having problems with an aggressive enemy and feeling somewhat helpless, he sought the advice of a prophet.

Well, the old prophet instructed the king to perform two simple tasks. First, to shoot an arrow out of a window in the direction of the enemy. Next, the king was to take the rest of his arrows and beat on the ground with them.

Indeed this was an odd solution, but the king shot the one arrow and then reluctantly hit the ground three times with the rest. The prophet became angry and told the king that he should have beaten the ground—and certainly more than just three times! Because of his lack of passion, the prophet said the king would experience only a short-lived victory.

It’s a strange story, I know, but learn this lesson: Be passionate, be courageous, and be willing to do what it takes to make your future successful! It’ll really help in accomplishing your goals.
