The Chuck Norris Story

How many times have you heard young people say, “There’s nothing to do around here!?” They mean, of course, “There are not enough interesting facilities to help me waste my time!”

And yes, I agree that mindless entertainment is indeed a positive alternative to ruining one’s life on the street, but there is yet a higher plain to pursue!

Many young people have discovered that higher plain. They don’t have time for “cruising the streets,” or wearing out video games! they’re having fun by being involved in school and in extra-curricular organizations, like athletics, band, choir, and all sorts of clubs—Scouts, 4-H, church youth groups, and volunteer opportunities.

Those who become seriously involved simply don’t have time to waste. Instead, they sharpen skills, broaden education, and build lifelong camaraderie with peers who are pursuing the same goals!

Don’t tell me there’s nothing to do!  I’ve learned better!
