School Assembly Programs
Jim Lord’s live presentations for elementary school students are fun, motivating, and inspiring! And they cause even the youngest of audience members to THINK — about their relationships with others as they learn about the difference between HELPING and hurting and that the people who HELP are known as HEROES. They also learn to visualize themselves in the future, and realize how they can even become their own heroes by preparing now to make their adult lives better!

Family Assembly Programs
Presentations for families are conducted in the evening to help parents understand what their children are learning in school about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, POSITIVE PERSONAL VISION, about POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, and about how they can continue and support that teaching at home.
Presentations for Administrators and Faculty
Jim brings a new perspective to the subject of “Bully Prevention,” and you’ll learn how to help your students visualize their own futures. He’ll give you tips to help motivate each of your students to enthusiastically begin preparing for that future!

Information About the Live Presentations:
During the assembly, Jim first presents a Beginning of a FAMOUS Hero story LIVE, just like the students hear it during morning announcement…complete with the introduction, and music going IN and going OUT of the story. Then, he talks more about heroes and give other examples. Eventually, he talks about opposites, and that the opposite of HELPING is HURTING. At that point, he explores the MANY different ways we can hurt others and demonstrate how choosing to HELP is an infinitely better choice. He also sings a couple of songs. In the presentation for younger students (K-2) this is where he ends. It’s about 30 minutes long.
With older students (grades 3-5), however, he goes deeper and stronger (but still has fun!). After he covers pretty much the same things as in the younger session (with a slightly more mature presentation), he adds another dimension. Jim talks STRONGLY about ways to “become a HERO to your own future self and your future family.” This session is about 45 minutes in length.
THEN, if you wish, he can do an “encore” presentation for just your oldest grade level, and while this presentation is much more personal and interactive, it is also much stronger with admonitions to consider the “FUTURE SELF” and what can be done starting RIGHT NOW to make life so much better by building a solid foundation. He talks about Personal Responsibility, Positive Personal VISION, and of course, Positive Relationships.
If you choose NOT to do the “encore” presentation, Jim will be glad to visit with a small group. Typically this group is for “more challenging” students, but so as not to “label” them as such, he requests that a good percentage of the group be me made up of class leaders as well and that the choosing of students to participate be done through a “lucky drawing!”
