The Albert Schweitzer Story

I remember having a lot of group projects to do in school. Often the group’s final product would determine a grade for each of us equally. The problem was that most of the time only the one or two caring people in each group did all the work. They earned a good grade for the entire group, giving the other members a free ride.

So what’s different about group projects a couple of decades ago and projects today? Nothing—except with the passing of time you can track the lives of individuals involved and demonstrate results.

Almost without exception, the young people who cared then are enjoying high paying careers and productive personal lives today, and the ones who got a free ride—well, they’re still struggling their way through life wondering why things don’t work out for them.

So, ask yourself—which category are you in?
