The John Tesh Story
It’s been said that first impressions are the most lasting impressions. If we come across in a negative way to others, all of our good qualities will be overshadowed by those perceived to be bad.
Think about the marketing process in the business world. Products and services must be attractively packaged because unattractive packaging does not make a good impression and consequently, does not make the sale.
Well, what you are doing—on a job interview, for example—is simply marketing yourself! You’re asking that employer to buy your time and your abilities instead of someone else’s.
Good marketing certainly includes visual appearance, but in this case it also includes good communication skills, education, and preparation. So, make a good impression! Always package yourself attractively, and sell yourself well.
