The Ray Kroc Story

Benjamin Franklin said, “Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” He also said, “The early bird gets the worm,” a metaphor that may not be very appetizing at breakfast time, but the analogy still works.

If you are one of the people in school or on the job who frantically runs in at the last minute, constantly making excuses for why you’re late, stop for a moment and imagine that you’re the boss.

Imagine that here are these two people in your charge. One is the frantic last minute excuse maker, and the other is calm and collected but energetic and ready to dive into the day’s responsibilities. Which of these two people would you give the promotions and the raises to? Think about that.

You know, if you have a reputation for being late for everything, you can begin turning that reputation around by simply thinking through and planning you day.
