This video represents an EMOTIONAL APPEAL FOR HELP. Kiwanis International is working in partnership with UNICEF to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) and the horrific deaths it causes among newborn babies in third world countries. MNT kills nearly 100,000 newborns and mothers each year. MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere, come in contact with open cuts during childbirth. Often it occurs simply by cutting the umbilical cord with an unsanitary instrument. Death is agonizing.
Kiwanis International, in partnership with UNICEF, is working to ELIMINATE this terrible plight through vaccinations and education. An end has been calculated if efforts continue on schedule!
